Operating Systems and Software
We can supply and install your choice of operating system on your new computer, or upgrade your old one (depending on age) with either Windows 7 home or Pro in 32 or 64 bit versions or Windows 8 or 8 pro 32 or 64 bit.
We can also supply Microsoft Office 2013, depending on which version/componets you want, price varies.
We supply and recommend Trend Micro Internet Security. Not using Anti Virus is the quickest way to destroy your computer and compromise sensitive data.
Modems and Routers
We use and supply Tp-Link modems, routers and wireless devices. If you would prefer a different brand like Netgear, Belkin, Netcom. D-Link, Asus or Billion please advise before time of install.
It's funny how many customers I come across that still have an ADSL modem but are paying for a ADSL 2 internet plan because their provider "suggested" to upgrade but neglected to send out a new compatible modem. This is something worth checking because you may be paying for a service you are not receiving. Another thing with wireless routers is to make sure if you have installed it yourself that you have encrypted it, if not, anyone can access it and steal your internet usage, data or worse.
Backup Devices
Data backup is an overlooked subject when owning a computer. All to often we have all our data like resumes, projects and all the important family photo's etc stored on our computer only to lose the lot when a hard drive fails. We reccomend to always have a secondary device to backup to incase of hardware failure, break in's or even something as unfortunate as a fire.
Depending on your needs we can supply removeable memory in the form of SD cards, USB sticks up to hard disk drives in 2.5" or 3.5", setting up a simple free to use software that backs up your user data and email.
Printers and Monitors
Everyone's needs are different when it comes to printers. Some may just need to print, some scan and other fax as well. To get a good idea what would suit your needs best call and we can guide you in the right direction.
When it comes to monitors bigger is not always better, as with printers you need to decide what you're using your computer for and with so many different sizes and types it's best to have an understanding of what you want. We are more than happy to help steer you in the right direction.
